We derived our name from a military aircraft, The Breguet Alizé Br.1050 (French for Tradewind) which was one of the world's first carrier-based anti-submarine aircraft. Introduced in the 1950s, it later became an integral part of the Indian Navy, serving aboard INS Vikrant and playing a decisive role during the 1971 war.
The squadron that flew it, 310 Squadron "The Cobras," remains the only squadron across all three Indian armed services to have served in every war since 1961. The name is synonymous to the qualities we reflect like discipline, adaptability, resilience, and the ability to perform when it matters most. These same principles continue to shape how we partner with founders & investors and build enduring businesses.
We envisage a future where visionary founders have access to the right seed capital, strategic guidance, and long-term partnerships to build resilient businesses that create lasting value.
We empower a deliberately selected group of early-stage founders with seed capital, strategic mentorship, and access to an experienced global network, enabling them to scale with conviction.
The Breguet Alize Br.1050 Alize (French for "Tradewind") was one of the world's first carrier based anti-submarine warfare aircraft. Developed in the 1950s, this hardy aircraft remained in service until the turn of the century.
The pioneering men who flew this aircraft in the early 60s off the French aircraft carriers Arromanches and Clemenceau were inducted into the Indian Navy in 1961. The aircraft was embarked on India's first aircraft carrier, the INS Vikrant, and saw action in the 1971 war off East Pakistan.
On the East coast it operated off the Vikrant as an air to surface attack aircraft with its rockets, bombs and depth charges, flying day and night missions. The Alize's anti-ship mines were used in the clandestine war in the riverine of East Pakistan to sink 100,000 tonnes of shipping.
The plane, the storied squadron, the emblem, symbolized the spirit and bash on attitude of these men and their magnificent flying machines, at a time when electronic anti-submarine airborne warfare was just evolving.
310 Squadron, "The Cobras," which operated the Alize, has the unique distinction of being the only squadron among all three services to have been deployed in every one of India's wars since 1961.
The Alize operated across air, sea and electronic warfare at a time when most aircraft could barely manage one. We too hold founders, and ourselves, to that same range of ability, being comfortable moving across sectors and stages rather than staying boxed into one.
Few naval squadrons carry the record this one does. We measure ourselves the same way, where excellence is infused in the way we work and treated as a habit. and treated as a habit.
